Product Overview
Helmitherm 498 is a “seamless,” unfilled, fast-setting EVA edgebanding hot melt specifically designed to eliminate the dark glue lines commonly seen when clear hot melts are used with light-toned substrates. Its white, unfilled formulation delivers improved mileage versus filled adhesives while being significantly less abrasive on machinery and tooling.
Engineered for high-speed automated edgebanders running 16 to 50 m/min, the 498 sets fast for maximum productivity. The unfilled formulation reduces build-up in the glue pot and minimizes cleaning of finished parts. Ideal for white and light-toned panel applications where glue line visibility is critical. For dark substrates, consider the Helmitherm 497 Clear.
