Overview
HELMIBOND PU 885 is a low activation temperature, one-part waterborne polyurethane adhesive designed for membrane pressing and vacuum forming of thermoplastic foils. Formulated for the manufacture of kitchen cabinet doors, furniture components, and other 3D applications, it requires no hardener mixing and offers an extended pot life. The low activation temperature makes it particularly suitable for thin foils and overlays, while the white color ensures easy visibility during application and after drying. This 210 KG drum format is ideal for high-volume production lines.
One-part system — no hardener required. Apply via HVLP spray gun with minimum 0.055” (1.4 mm) fluid tip at approximately 3 wet mils. Substrates and adhesive should be 18 °C (65 °F) or warmer; best results above 22 °C (72 °F). Also available in 5 Gallon Pail (SKU 8007).
